Online therapy

What is online therapy?

Online therapy is the safest thing you can do. It takes place in the same way as attending a therapy room, only it’s over a screen. We talk via the Zoom platform, which is encrypted and GDPR-protected, and no conversations are recorded without written consent. You don’t have to leave your home, have therapy when you’re on vacation, during your lunch break, etc. Exactly when and where you need it.

Assurances you as a client/clients have from my side:

– I use Zoom, which is GDPR-protected, encrypted and approved for use by talk therapists, psychologists, etc.
– I’m always alone in the room when I talk to clients.
– No video, audio or image can be recorded without your approval. You will receive a message on your screen if I press record, which I will not do without written approval. The only reason to ask to record the conversation is for possible supervision.
– My duty of confidentiality applies in the same way online as in face-to-face conversations.

You don’t need to install anything, and partners in couple therapy can either sit together on the same device, or on different devices. This creates enormous freedom, as you can live anywhere in the world, and you don’t have to live together to attend couples therapy. You’ll receive a link before the call that you click on, and we’ll talk on screen.

Many people worry about whether you can create a safe and open space over a screen. You absolutely can! I’ve helped many individuals and couples via Zoom, where safety, trust and openness are created in the same way as face-to-face in a therapy room. I have received nothing but good feedback on online therapy, and look forward to being able to help you in the same way.

Online therapy

What is online therapy?

From June 2022, I am going purely online as a therapist. The office in Oslo has been terminated, since only 1 out of 10 clients want to meet in an office. New research shows that there is no difference in the quality of talk therapy treatment online vs physical attendance, and I have great success with my clients with online therapy.
