Education/Courses/Certifications

From Kristiania University College’s website: “Psychology seeks to find answers to questions about people as thinking, feeling, acting and socializing individuals. The Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Kristiania University College equips you with knowledge and skills that are useful in many situations and in many professions. This program provides you with a solid theoretical foundation and gives you knowledge and skills that are useful in many different situations and professions. ” Among other things, you will learn about:

  • Developmental psychology – how people’s cognitive, emotional and social characteristics develop and change over time.
  • Cognitive psychology – what affects our attention, memory, language, decisions and motivation +++.
  • Research and development
  • Much, much more

The certification is an extension of sexology, where you go deeper into the mysterious world of the vulva and vagina. Many women and people with vulvas and vaginas suffer from pain, both explained and unexplained. The education was a combination of theory and practice, and you can read more about what vaginal therapy is under “services” in the menu.

The course covered suicide and self-harm, and how we can prevent and understand these areas. Many of my clients have experienced trauma, and everyone has their own way of dealing with these traumas. This course gave me a good insight into a complicated topic and gave me tools that I take with me into conversations with the clients who need it.

The course provided good knowledge about how to plan, organize and conduct workshops and courses for couples. There are many things to think about, and it was good knowledge to take with you as a course provider and speaker.

The course provided an introduction to trauma and understanding trauma. I took the course because I have a lot of clients with trauma, and the more you know and understand, the better you can work on healing. I’ve also experienced some trauma in my own life, so the more you know, the better you can help others. It was also a good way to brush up on some things from other courses and get good information that can be used in conversations with clients.

As a didactic sexologist, I work a lot with children and young people, and even though I have a broad education in the field, it’s never wrong to get multiple perspectives. It’s also important to understand children and young people’s sexuality when working with adult sexuality, as we are shaped throughout our lives.

A whole weekend of lectures and presentations of the latest research, so I was well updated on various areas within the sexological field. A lot of this knowledge has been very useful in my job, including the research that online therapy is just as effective and good as physical therapy.

Should be a mandatory course for all sexologists. Even though we learn about this during our education as sexologists, this is a very good summary of the Norwegian system, and what rights you have as a client. It has made me more competent when it comes to counseling within sexual aids, rights and what you can get covered via NAV.

A whole weekend of lectures and presentations of the latest research in the field of sexology. I participated in a panel discussion about the future of sexology and gave a presentation on endometriosis and adenomyosis as sexual dysfunctions.

This certification is a specialization for already trained sexologists and couples therapists. It qualifies me to supervise students at the Int. School of Sexology and Couples Therapy, and I have several trained therapists in supervision.

Didactic sexologist is a certification and specialization for already trained sexologists, and focuses on lecturing, teaching adults, and sexuality education for children and adolescents in all grades. Pedagogy and teaching is an important area, and knowledge of didactics is important for those of us who work a lot with teaching and lecturing.

“Sexologist is not a protected title, so it’s important that those of us who work in this field can demonstrate broad and professionally strong education. As a certified sexologist, there’s a lot to know, and it’s important that you learn what you need to be able to help clients where it’s needed. At Sexologiskolen Oslo, you learn everything about clinical sexology, the PLISSIT model, therapeutic approaches and methods, sexuality throughout life, dysfunctions and pain issues, late effects of sexual abuse, sexuality in a psychobiosocial perspective and much much more.

Couples therapist is not a protected title, so it is important that those of us who work in this field can refer to broad and professionally strong education. As a certified couple therapist at Sexologiskolen Oslo, the education consists of both theory and practical work with clients. The education covers therapeutic work with couples, several psychological and therapeutic directions, the language of love, open relationships, culture and the influence of religion, communication techniques, tools for the couple and much much more.

Core competencies

1 in 10 women have endometriosis and 1 in 8 women have adenomyosis. I myself am one of the women in the statistics, and had my uterus and one ovary removed because of this. Endometriosis and adenomyosis qualify as sexual dysfunctions and have a major impact on many women’s sex lives, relationships and quality of life. Guidance and knowledge can give you more control and a better life with these diseases.

I have ADHD myself, and I know very well how this affects everyday life, sex life and relationships from both a professional and personal point of view. Many people experience either hypersexuality or hyposexuality with ADHD, difficulties achieving orgasm, complications and complications in relationships, and difficulties communicating. With guidance and knowledge, much can be done to make you feel better.

Open relationships, poly relationships and swingers relationships. Much more common than you might think, but difficult to talk about openly for many. It is also difficult for many in these relationships to find a sexologist or couples therapist who does not judge or who actually understands you. Everyone is welcome here, and I’m used to having 2, 3, 4 or more people in couples therapy at the same time. Here you’ll find no prejudices, a high level of openness and good knowledge in the field.

There are many reasons to ask for guidance on either sex aids or sex toys. I started selling sex toys in 2009, so I have broad and up-to-date knowledge in this area. I have both education and courses in sexual aids and the schemes that exist.

Many people in the LGBTQ+ community are reluctant to seek out sexologists and couples therapists. I collaborate with several queer organizations and have many clients in all colors of the rainbow. You are safe with me.

As a didactic sexologist, I specialize in sexuality education in all grades, and I have immersed myself in the sexuality of children and young people. We are born with our sexuality, and it develops throughout our lives. We are not static beings. To work with adult sexuality, we need to understand what may have influenced us in our younger years. I’m a frequent guest on podcasts and forums about this, and give frequent talks to parents and teachers.

As a didactic sexologist, I specialize in being able to provide age-appropriate and good sexuality education in all grades. Get in touch if you would like me to visit your school!
